Pharmaceutical Conference Casablanca - Motion Capture System

Their client had a plenary session dedicated to one of their products, and the brand manager wanted to present to the sales staff in a way that was memorable and entertaining, yet informative.

A comic book character had already been created and used in the client's marketing materials to promote the product. activ8-3D's motion capture system allowed the character to come to life.

From the original drawings, the activ8-3D animation team created a 3D model of the character. The character was then linked up with the motion capture suit so that the character's whole upper body and mouth movements were synced with the suit.

After a day's on-site rehearsal and testing the show was ready to begin. The client's product manager wore the motion capture suit and did a fantastic job of entertaining and educating the crowd. The product manager's body movements and speech were picked up in real time and displayed to the audience as a 3D animated character on screen. Using an audience microphone and backstage monitor, the product manager was even able to answer questions from audience members.

The motion capture suit was deemed as one of the highlights of the conference, as it created a fun yet professional atmosphere, using a technology that had never before been seen at such an event.
