Shanghai Expo 2010 Hologram Projection Show
activ8-3D produced a crowd drawing, spectacular 3D holographic projection for the Venice Tourism Board at the world famous Shanghai Expo 2010.
The City of Venice tourism Board came to activ8-3D back in early 2010, seeking an eye catching display for their exhibition that would stand out from the competition and last in the memories of the visitors. Our 3D hologram event display (3D-holoshow) was the perfect solution.
The content was created by our official Italian reseller. In a specially set up film studio with optimum AV equipment for 3D holographic content creation, our Italian partners filmed actors in traditional Italian dress, giving presentations about the cultural city of Venice. Pre-recorded 2D footage of the city was added into a 3D frame in post-production to give the effect of a 3D holographic movie playing from 2D footage.
The 3D-holoshow construction and AV installation was completed in under 2 days. The show ran for a 6 month period, viewed by some of the 73 million visitors to the exhibition.
Our 3D hologram display was deemed as a true highlight of the expo. Audiences from all over the world were stunned and amazed by what can be achieved with 3D holographic projection.
