activ8-3D are proud to have sponsored Carl Saunders, a masters student from The Royal College of Arts, London.

Carl approached us asking for assistance in his car design masters course. As part of the course, he was asked to design and build a scaled model of a car, completely of his own design.

Carl wanted to make the project stand our from his fellow students, he had the fantastic idea of using 3D holographic projection.

activ8-3D built a purpose built 3D-holopod exhibition hologram display, complete with custom branding boards, featuring Carl's designs.

Working together with the student, we added an additional 3D-interactive system to the hologram display. Using a wireless remote control, the audience could control the hologram's x and y axis, zoom in and out, as well as trigger animations such as the opening of the car doors.
